Tips and tricks for caring for your Bigblue Dive Lights:
Whether you have one of your own, or you are considering purchasing one of our innovative dive lights, we'd like to share some of our experience and offer tips for the proper care and treatment of your Bigblue light!
Visually inspect your light. Look closely at all parts of your light, including the o-rings, battery connection points, and lenses for dirt, sand, cracks, etc.
Clean and grease your light. After visual inspeciton, if cleaning is needed, do so immediately. Upon completion, grease o-rings and threads with silicone.
Seal your light with care. When you're ready to tighten and seal your light (with new or charged batteries inside), you should do so with intent - watch and feel the light seal. Use your eyes, ears, and feel to understand what is going on with your light - as you tighten your light, look for signs that something may not be right:
-gravelly or grainy sound and feeling may indicate the threads or o-ring are not cleaned fully
-if the light feels too difficult to close, that is a good indicator that you have an o-ring problem. Your o-ring may not be well greased, or it could be pinching
Rinse, transport, and store. After using your light on a dive - you should always rinse it with clean, fresh water. Ensure your light is clean, and dry it out - the whole time visually inspecting your light. Once the light is dry, transport and store in a protected manner, and store in a cool, dry place - preferably where it is not susceptible to scratches to ensure your Bigblue light continues to look and work great!
HAPPY DIVING!
